As much as I miss the warm ( scratch that...HOT), sunny days hanging by the pool, I am ready to say good-bye to Summer and HELLO to Fall!! And only one thing can bring relief from the heat...Dove Season. And Levi started walking just in time. Now he can venture out and explore the gifts of the ranch. Rocks, beetles & sticks. And some not-so-nice gifts of the ranch like mequite, bees & rattlesnakes. Luckily, we only ran into the first two with no issues.
Reese & Levi were buds. Reese just new if she waited long enough, Levi would relinquish his treasure stick and toss it for her. She got bored waiting and just took it from him. It was quite funny watching her try to be stealthy and steal it from his baby hands.
And after too much exploring, the explorer must take a rest. The new jogging stroller, as we found out the next day, is NOT ranch proof. It ended up with 2 holes in the tires that put a slight damper on my exercise day.
Off to find some dove.
Oh, good job Daddy!!! You got one.
"Look mommy. A dove." Daddy couldn't be any more excited to share his favorite hobby with his 2 boys. And it looks that both enjoy this as well.
"Here you go Mommy."
And then try explaining how we clean, cook & then eat the dove was left to Daddy. Although, I think he just changed the subject and left it at that. And nothing new here...Talan wouldn't eat.
