Is that a boat? Or a truck?

BOTH! It's the famous Duck Tours of Boston. They tour through the Historic streets of Boston and also take the adventure into the Charles River. The boys desperately wanted to do it but we ran out of time in Boston. This is one we saw walking back from the USS Constitution. You can see the guide pointing out towards the river where the ship is.

While stopping for lunch at the Cambridge Mall (one of many visits there since it was the only food within walking distance of our hotel), we had visitors who wanted to sample our yummy pizza. We couldn't resist and shared some of our crust with these huge city pigeons. And another city critter story, while walking outside Fenway Park at night, Talan started hollering that he saw a mouse. "But it was much bigger mama and had a huge tail," he said. I busted out laughing and informed him he saw the infamous Boston Rat!

After lunch, we braved skipping naps and walked to the Museum of Science. Yes, we were staying right there in the heart of Cambridge!! And was informed by the hotel clerk to stay on this side of the river if we didn't want to get lost. LOL!!! Too late...we had already gotten ourselves lost in Boston the minute came through the Sumner Tunnel. The museum was great. A little too old for the boys but they still enjoyed every minute.

All of the natural light coming in is through a huge window two stories tall looking out over the Charles River. It was beautiful sitting there and if my boys would have cooperated, I'd have some awesome pics of them. But please enjoy their back sides because at this point, they were over me telling them to say "cheese" or to "look at mommy!"

Uhh, I oh so wish he'd cooperate sometimes. One could not ask for a better lighting situation indoors!

Our main reason for choosing the Museum of Science was due to their new dinosaur exhibit. They were pretty impressed with the bones but have not yet comprehended what extinct means. This piece here the boys could put together a skeleton to match the real one in the case. And unfortunately, there were no cameras allowed where the Tyranosaurus Rex and other great bones were. Bummer because unless you've actually seen them in person, you can't imagine how big they are!

Then we found a human skeleton too!

This little water table was by far the most exciting for the boys. It was a mountain with a flowing stream going all the way around. There were little plastic fish and boats that would run down and then you'd put them back up to the top. This was our last stop and the boys played here until we were kicked out due to closing time. "You don't have to go home but you can't stay here." LOL!!
