Trick or Treat

Halloween just wouldn't be right without a Jack-O-Lantern. I let Talan & Levi explore the outside of the pumpkin for a few days before we cut it open. We made guesses to what could be inside. Talan enjoyed rolling it all around the living room while Levi used it as a stool to gain access to the couch. That boy loves being on the couch. Pardon the mess in the background, James had been at work for over 36 hours and I gave up cleaning for the day.
Yeah!!! It's Halloween & Daddy is home...it's time to see what's inside. Talan was a bit un-nerved by the new texture. It took some encouragement from mommy, daddy & Levi before he was ready to dig in. Oh...and remember the desperation of the kitchen floor being mopped? That still didn't happen, so we were sure to keep it clean while carving the pumpkin.

And the final product...
For our Halloween treat, we went to the Petroleum Museum for some indoor trick or treating and then to a church for some fun times. It turns out that not only does Talan NOT want to dress up...he really doesn't enjoy others being dressed up either. So the trick or treating didn't go over so well. James & I were bummed...less candy for us. :( Luckily, the church had bounce houses and Talan spent his evening bouncing away.
